Vintage 2006 ~ The beginning of the season was warmer than average, with a couple of inclement wet patches toward the end.

The rain served to freshen up the canopies, keeping them healthy and functioning right through to harvest.

Frequent rain toward the end of a growing season is seen as a threat, however due to the extreme mid season heat, many of the vines at the Old School House Vineyard were starting to show the first signs of stress.

The weather during flowering was warm and settled which subsequently led to a fantastic fruit set in all varieties.

In fact, in some varieties as much as 50% of the fruit was reduced to achieve the desired cropping levels.
